Egypt destroyed 7 Gaza smuggling tunnels in November, according to the Egyptian spokesperson’s office. The tunnels were destroyed by the Egyptian army, at least some through flooding.
Four Gazans were reported missing last week after Egypt flooded the smuggling tunnels. Two of their bodies were recovered today.
In a somewhat related story, the Sinai branch of ISIS captured 3 truckloads of cigarettes being smuggled into Gaza and destroyed them. ISIS / Daesh believes smoking is against Islam.
In contrast, Israel continues to allow humanitarian and commercial shipments through to Gaza from Israel.
